Dorothy L. Hayes Leonard, 98, of the Midway Community, passed on Friday, January 1, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born on August 14, 1917, in Davidson County to Russell Cleo Hayes and Carrie Wagner Hayes. She was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church and retired from TFI. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Curtis Leonard; a step son, Bobby Payne; three daughters, Thelma Moore, Mildred Tuttle and JoAnn Moore; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 45 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
