Douglas Antonio McDuffie was born January 17, 1980 to Angelia McDuffie Fate and Frank Bellamy. He passed away on November 20, 2023 at his residence.
Douglas was reared in the home of his aunt, Kimberly and her daughters, Jackie and Jasmine. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University. He was self-employed. Doug was a Christian and believed in the Word of God. He could sometimes be found in his room praying and reading the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Hunter, his stepfather, James C. Fate; an aunt, Kimberly Hunter and an uncle, Darwin McDuffie.
Douglas leaves to cherish his memory his children, NaKosi McDuffie, Isaiah Jennings, Zahiah Jennings and Zamya McDuffie; two grandchildren with one on the way; his mother, Angelia Fate of Thomasville; his father, Frank Bellamy of Chadbourn, NC; step father, Michael Moore, Sr.; two brothers, Leon Moore and Michael Moore; two adopt sisters, Sherrell Fate and LaTasha Fate; his grandparents, Eva Hunter of Lexington and Edward and Joyce Bellamy of Petersburg. Va.; four uncles: Henry, Tommy, Curtis (Angela) McDuffie and Melvin Bellamy; a special close uncle and aunt, Robert Thornton and Gladys Thornton both of Lexington; an aunt, Cynthia McDuffie and a host of other family and friends. He played a special part in everyone's life who knew him. Douglas really loved his family and children.
