Mother Earline Ivy Martha Darr, 80, of Lula Street, Winston Salem, North Carolina, exchanged earthly work for eternal life on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Atrium Health - Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Ms. Earline was born on June 7, 1942 to the late Arthur and Marie Hart Darr, Sr. in Davidson, North Carolina.
She received her formal education from the local Davidson County Public School system. During her life her hands would find work at SaraLee Food Corporation as a Housekeeper.
Earline was a woman of sound wisdom and understood the very essence for a foundation in her life and accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Religiously, she was a member of First Waughtown Baptist Church, Winston-Salem.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lula Mae Darr; brother, Arthur Darr, Jr.; brother-in-law, Bill Davis; son, John Buxton, Jr. and a grandson, Michael Danzy.
She leaves to cherish her memories her three precious daughters: Joree Correll, Johnny Mae Haywood, Julia Byrd; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Buxton (Kenneth), Laura Jean Davis; brother, Bill Darr and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2022 at First Waughtown Baptist Church with visitation at 12:30 P.M. prior to the service. Public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. In every effort to protect our client families, facial masks and/or coverings are required for the services.
