Earnest Corbett, Jr., 57, of Hampton, Va., passed Monday, June 30, 2014 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at Noon at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will be Wednesday at Noon at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Earnest Corbett Sr. and the late Amanda Cassell Harrison on July 9, 1956. He graduated from Central Davidson High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a Baptist by faith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his step-father, William Harrison of Southmont; his father, Earnest Corbett Sr. of Brooklyn, NY; a son, Earnest Corbett III of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, JaLessa Corbett of Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren; two brothers, Stanely (Leona) Corbett of Winston-Salem and William Patrick Harrison of Southmont; a sister, Earnestine Corbett of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
