Mr. Edmond Burnette "Boody" Cranford, 83, of Thomasville, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

Boody, as he was affectionately called, was born to Columbus Garfield "CG' and Mary Cranford on September 1, 1936. From this union 12 children were born. He loved his family and he had a special bond with his only living brother, Columbus Rudolph "CR" Cranford. Edmond served in the National Guard for 8 years. He was a dedicated employee of Leggett & Platt-High Point and retired in January 2020 after over 25 years of exceptional service.

A devout Christian, Boody was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in High Point. His most cherished memories were his missionary trips to the Holy Land.

Edmond was married to the love of his life, Janet, for 31 years. Left to cherish memories of "Papaw" are his sons: Michael Cranford, Derrick Cranford and Roland (Natasha) Hunt,Jr.; his daughters: Denise Cranford, Peggy (Eddie) McLaurin, Brandy (Pic) Clark, Samantha (David) Carter and Catrina Moncus; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday at Noon at Landmark Baptist Church, 6055 Sunset View Dr., High Point, NC with Rev. Amos Mashburn officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that you honor Boody's memory by showing unconditional love to everyone, just like he lived his life. –"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that also love his appearing." II Timothy 4:8
