Edward Tryone Frost, age 70, entered Eternal rest, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at his home in Mocksville, North Carolina. Ty as he was affectionately known, was born on August 17, 1953 in Davie County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Ruby Blackwell Frost and William Frost, Sr. He will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand to his fellowman. We are thankful for the years we shared his life.

He attended the public schools of Davie County. Edward was employed with Hanes for over 14 years until his health would no longer allow.

His former church affiliation was with Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Mocksville, North Carolina. Edward loved drag racing and he was a true fan of Nascar. If he was not racing himself, you could find him watching it on the weekends. He was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death along with his parents, a brother, Harvey Lee Frost.

Those left to cherish fond memories are: two brothers, William Frost, Jr. and John W. Frost, both Mocksville, North Carolina; two sisters, Mary E. (Edward) Johnson of Mocksville, North Carolina and Bell Frost of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; two aunts: Della Blackwell Clement and Norma Blackwell Mountree; two uncles: Wilbur Blackwell and David Lee Blackwell; nieces that were more like daughters: Beverly Frost, Marcia Johnson and Michelle Wharton; nephews who were like his sons: Terrell Anthony, Todd (Bracie) Johnson, Shawn Frost, Devan Frost and Cheron Hargrave; devoted and lifelong friends: John Leach Jr., Frank Revels, and Randy Barker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His life will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Roberts Funeral Service (Mocksville), with visitation at 1:30 P.M. prior to the service. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
