Elizabeth Sue Roman Henderson was born in Anderson, South Carolina on July 6, 1942 to Mack Roman and Grace P. Roman. Sue peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.

She retired from Lexington Furniture Industry and was a member of First Baptist Church, where she formerly served on the Usher Board and the Kitchen Committee. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Tammy Smith and Gwendolyn Henderson; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hubert (Betty) Roman, Delman (Betty) Roman and Delmont Friday; two sisters, Macie Anderson and Mary Jo Hoper; two brothers-in-law, Bobby (Bonnie) Henderson and John (Verna) Henderson III; a sister-in-law, Fannie Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at First Baptist Church, with family visitation at 2:30 pm and the homegoing service at 3:00 pm. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
