Eloise Elizabeth Fortune Parker, 80, of Eleanor Drive, passed away on March 25, 2025, at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1944, in Davie County to the late Lawyer A. Fortune and Janie Mae Walker Fortune.
Eloise was a faithful member of United Baptist Church for many years, where she served diligently on the Kitchen Committee and the Pastor's Aide. Her dedication to her church and community was evident in her unwavering service and kindness to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivory Ray Parker, Sr. her daughter, Karen Neills; and three brothers, Keith Fortune, Bobby Fortune, and Jesse Fortune.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Todd R. Parker and Clarence L. McIntyre, Jr.; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Parker and Elizabeth Carol Parker; stepson, Ivory Ray Parker, Jr.; two devoted play sons, Anthony Holmes and Edward Hill; four sisters, Ruth Fortune of Baltimore, MD, Kaye Fortune, Beverly (Henry) Baker of High Point, and Linda Fortune; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Thomaseme Everhart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel. Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate her life, remembering the love and wisdom she shared with all who knew her.
