Mr. Elwood Thomas, 82, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. He was born May 29, 1940 in Davidson County to the late Golden Leroy Thomas and Hattie E. Tuttle Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a member of New Deliverance Worship Center. He has held numerous jobs in his life time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Edward Lindsay, Robert Lee Thomas, Nathaniel Thomas, George Thomas, Shufford Leak and Howard Lee Thomas.
When tomorrow begins, the music is quiet, the sun has set on the life of Elwood, but his memory will always remain in the hearts of his wife of 59 years, Emma Jean Brown Thomas; his sons: Michael Thomas, Bishop Kevin Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Gary Thomas and Dexter Thomas; a sister, Shirley Williams; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00pm at Christ Deliverance Temple with family visitation at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Gates of Zion Worship Center Cemetery.
