Mrs. Ernestine Dalton Henderson, 79, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.

The funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00pm at Salem Baptist Church with family visitation an hour before the service. Burial will be Monday at 10:00am at Salisbury National Cemetery.

She was born December 31, 1939 in Rockingham County to David T. and Jessie Jones Dalton. She was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church where she served as a member of the kitchen committee, Gospel Choir and on the Deaconess Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie L. Henderson; four brothers: N.D., T.J. and Wayne Dalton and John Dulin and a sister, Geraldine Dalton.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Vanessa Henderson and Veronica "Lynne" Hoover; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren; six brothers: Harvey (Patricia) Dalton, James (Delores) Dalton, Ernest (Stacy) Dalton, Cecil (Brenda) Dalton, Tony (Shirley) Dalton and Zayne (Angela) Dalton and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
