Mrs. Ethel Davis Parks, 92, of E. Old US Hwy 64, transitioned on Friday, March 27, 2020.
A private funeral will be held on Monday. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
She was born January 10, 1928 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Caper W. Davis and Ethel Rice Davis. She retired from Davidson County Health Department and was a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pierce Parks; her two sons, Timothy Parks and Gerald Parks; a grandson, Lamont Hargrave Parks; three brothers: James Davis, C.W. Davis and George Davis; and sister, Lelia Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Norma (Jerry) Partee; a daughter-in-law, Bernice Parks; three grandchildren: Latoya Barber, Timitris Parks and Jordan Partee; a brother, Major (Vinnie) Davis; four sisters: Betty Marshall, Sarah Reid, Louise (Samuel) Copeland and Peggy (Michael) McShaine; two sisters-in-law:Francis Davis and Theodora Parks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
