Mrs. Evelena McRae Graves, 95, passed on Monday, July 4, 2016.
Graveside service will be Friday at 11:00 am at Lexington City Cemetery. There will be no public viewing.
She was born in Randolph County on March 30, 1921, to John McRae and Della F. Potter McRae. She was a member of Mechanic Baptist Church and mother of the church. She retired from Burlington Industries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, John, Elise and Plez McMillon; two daughters, Geraldine Spruill and Linda M. Alston; seven brothers, John, Curtis, Eddie, Elsie, Gerald, Raymond and Elavan McRae and six sisters, Paralee McRae, Rolena Thompson, Luezie Little, Ella Bullock, Geneva McRae and Elnora Cheeks.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Patricia M. Scott and Nellie Hoskins; three sons, Curtis (Arlean) McMillon, Eddie McMillon and Thomas McMillon; a daughter-in-law, Bessie McMillon; 27 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 33 great-great-grandchildren, a great-great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
