Mrs. Felecia Steele, age 54, passed away on June 15, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Felecia attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. She was known for her loving and caring spirit, always looking after others and helping to care for children in her family and community. Her kindness, generosity and devotion to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Wallace Ridgill and her brother, Eithona Ridgill.

Felecia leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Sandor “Cornbread” Steele; her stepson, Arri Lindsay; and the children she raised and loved as her own: Ju’Mariya Ridgill, Ahmed Lewis, Ju’Vonte LaFond, Ju'Mario LaFond,  Karon King, Karrie King and Karouse King.

She is also survived by her loving mother, Gayle Ridgill; two brothers, Carlos Jones and Ferron (Brittany) Ridgill; three sisters: Deshana Wilson, Cheri (Tyrik) Miller and Jamyla Grant; her aunt, Janice Ridgill; and a very special and devoted nephew, Ishan Littlejohn.

In addition, she leaves behind three special sisters: Katina Thorne, Monica Brown and Dyiesha Pratt; her extended family: Derrick, Jayiha, Shane and Saroneya Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Felecia’s legacy of love, compassion and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength to her family and loved ones.
