Florence Kindle, 97, was called home on Monday, December 31, 2018. She was born November 23, 1921 to Curtis and Lillian Payne Owens.

The funeral service will be Sunday at Good Hope F.B.H. Church at 3:00pm with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

She was a faithful and devoted member of Good Hope Fire Baptized Holiness Church. She retired from Lexington Telephone Company (Lexcom). She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ozzie Owens and two brothers, Bill and Calvin Owens.

She is survived by her two children, Roger Owens of Winston-Salem and Lillian Davis of the home; a granddaughter, Andrea (Rodney) Owens Byrd of Cary; three grandsons: Andre (Matezal) Owens of Charlotte, James G. Holt and Morris Kindle; a brother, Shelly Owens and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
