June 19, 1935 – November 26, 2021
Frances Wilma Jean Burns, 86, of Cotton Grove Rd., passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.
The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1-5pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
On June 19, 1935 in Davidson County, a baby girl was born to Dennis Holmes and Lucy Parker Davis Burns. She was a faithful member of Files Chapel Baptist Church. She retired from United Furniture.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Victor "Geno" Burns; three brothers: Larry Burns, Marty Burns and Gregory Burns and a son-in-law, Robert McCandies, Sr.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory four sons: Bryan Burns, Gary Burns, Thabiti (Kristie) M. Anyabwile and Vincent (Linda) Parker; three daughters: Donna McCandies, Katrina (Terrance) Davidson and Trudy (William) Woodberry; a brother, James Sonny Burns; two sisters, Irene Young and Ruth Clark; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Burns and Deborah Burns; two very faithful and devoted neighbors, Otis and Vanessa Williams and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
