Frances McIntosh Scott was born on February 22, 1938, in Greenwood, South Carolina, to R.L. McIntosh and Betty Lou Terry McIntosh. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

Mrs. Scott retired from Duracell Battery and dedicated much of her time to serving others, including volunteering at First Hope Ministry. A faithful member of Life in the Word Worship Center, she loved the Lord deeply and enjoyed reading her Bible and working crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Addison Scott; her daughter, Marlin Catrina Scott; and her siblings, Robert L. McIntosh, Bishop McIntosh, Ellison McIntosh, Inez McIntosh, Jerry McIntosh and Terry McIntosh.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Pastor Eddie Scott and Derrick (Tina) Scott; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, with family visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.
