Our beloved Aunt Frances Elaine Tate, affectionately known as Aunt Peter, passed away on April 22, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice House.

She was born September 20, 1946 to Lloyd Tate, Sr. and Charlotte Wilson Tate in Davidson County. Elaine was a homemaker for most of her life, opening her doors to anyone who needed childcare. She was a major part of the village that assisted in the upbringing of her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tonya Tate; two brothers, Raymond Tate and Lloyd Tate, Jr.; six sisters: Mary Holmes, Bennie Mae Tate, Nola Ann Tate, Glenda Tate, Brenda Horton and Shirley Peoples.

She leaves to cherish her memory a special niece, Alice Arrington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
