Francina Chaplin Dobson, 63, of 110 Penner Street, Winston-Salem, NC, laid down her burdens and crossed Jordan River on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She was born March 23, 1955 to the late Melvin Chaplin and Dorothy Mae Grier Chaplin in Winston-Salem, NC.

Those left to cherish her memory are her wonderful sons: Joseph R. Dobson of the home and James Tyner (Latasha) of Winston- Salem; five grandchildren; her brother, Issac Chaplin; sister, Barbara Williams; a very closer sister-in-law, Brenda Crawford (V. Cedric); two special God children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 from the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church – 4616 Baux Mountain Road, Winston-Salem, NC.The family visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service. The family will greet and receive friends at that time or at other times at the home of the son James Tyner on Northoaks Court, Winston-Salem, NC.Her mortal and precious frame shall be coached to Parklawn Memorial Gardens for the final flight dove ceremony and interment.Her remains may be viewed Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
