Mr. Gary Dalnor Arnold was born April 23, 1957 to the late Jeremiah "Jake" and Annie B. Arnold. He went to his eternal rest the afternoon of October 27, 2023.

Bookie, as he was affectionately called, graduated from Davie County High School in 1976. He served in the US National Guard Army Reserve after high school. Mr. Arnold was a lifetime member of Harvest United Church (formerly known as Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church), where he served on the Men's Choir. Bookie enjoyed going to drag strip racing, car shows and admiring any kind of "Hot Rod" cars. When he was home, you would find him watching his favorite TV show, "Street Outlaws". According to Bookie, the best meal was an upper chicken sandwich from "Frankie's Chicken & Ribs" served with a cold glass of Cheerwine!

Bookie was preceded in death by his former wife, Cindy Arnold along with his sweet grandson, Xavier Arnold. Mr. Arnold leaves to cherish his memory two children, Debbie R. Arnold & Gary D. Arnold, Jr. of Mocksville, NC; his beloved granddaughter, Courtney R. Arnold; two sisters, Kathe T. Foster of Mocksville, NC and Stacey R. Ashton of Midland, NC; one brother, Sherman "Desi" Arnold of Mocksville, NC and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.




Funeral service will be Friday, November 3, 2023 at Harvest United Fellowship (formerly Fairfield Baptist Church) at 2:00 PM with a 30 minute visitation prior to service time. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 1:00 PM -5:00 PM at the funeral home.
