George Casper Kirk, Jr., age 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.

He was born to the late George Casper Kirk, Sr. and Grace Cross Kirk on September 4, 1926 in Davidson County.George was a very active member of First Baptist Church on Village Dr., serving as a Deacon.He served in the United States Army and retired from Dixie Furniture and also worked at Lexington Health Care.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a brother, James S. Kirk and two sisters, Betty K. Miley and Annie K. Murphy.

Left to cherish his priceless memories are his wife of 70 years, Jewel G. Kirk; three sons: George C. (Shelia) Kirk, III, Justin K. (Claudia) Kirk and Kenneth Kirk; a daughter, Fontaine (James) Graham; five grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Homegoing service will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church on Village Dr. with family visitation beginning at 11 a.m.Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery with full military honors.
