Mr. George "Junior" Robinson, 88, formerly of New Haven Dr., passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Lexington Health Care.

The funeral service will be Friday at 1:30pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Interment will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Thursday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born on Wednesday, April 7, 1926 in Blair, South Carolina, the fifth of fifteen children, to George and Agnes Brown Robinson. He worked for and retired from Burlington Industries. Junior was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters, and his wife of forty-three years, Rosa Bernice Smith Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Jimmy (Lucille) Robinson of Mitchellville, Maryland; three sisters, Agnes Robinson Washington of District Heights, Maryland, Carrie Robinson of Wilmington, Delaware, and Mattie Robinson Tillman of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Edward Baucum of Palm Coast, Florida; three sisters-in-law , Vernetta Robinson of Blair, South Carolina, Margaret Robinson of Baltimore, Maryland, and Nancy Baucum Young of Lexington, North Carolina; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; four devoted nieces, Elaine Rector, Brinnie Rector Sheffield, Wilma Parker Brooks and Mary Rector.
