Mrs. Geraldine Vinson Hoover, 76, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Funeral service will be Friday at 1:00pm at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church with family visitation at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday at Roberts Funeral Service from 1:00-6:00pm.

She was born January 5, 1945 in Rowan County to Jasper Vinson and Verdine Mack Vinson. She retired from Young and Hinkle Furniture.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Hoover, Sr.; a brother, Paul Vinson; a granddaughter, Latoya Hoover and two great-grandchildren, Alvia Cox and Ashton Hoover.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Thomas L. Hoover, Jr., Jeff L. Hoover both of Salisbury and Byron (Barbara) Hoover of South Carolina; a daughter, Lisa Hoover of Salisbury; three brothers: Robert L. Vinson, Jasper Vinson, Jr. and Gary Vinson; four sisters: Brenda Rucker, Jackie (Mathew) Gregory, Tam (William) Vinson and Daphne Vinson; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Kendrick Vinson; a best friend, Gail Smith;10 nephews and 7 nieces and a host of other family and friends.
