Glenda Ethlean Smith, 57, of Washburn Street, was called home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. atFiles Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation an hour before the service.

She was born March 19, 1958 in Rowan County to the late Marshall Smith, Jr. and Cora Wansley Stover.She attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and continued her education at Livingstone College.

She was a faithful member of Files Chapel Baptist Church and served on the kitchen committee and was a member of the Gospel Chorus and F.D. Betts Inspirational Choir.Glenda had been employed with Mannington Tile for over 10 years when her health began to decline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 32 years, James Quinton Smith; two beautiful daughters, LaToya Twana Smith and Kealisha Monique Smith; a brother, Jerome Stover and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her brother, Morris Shaw.
