Mr. Golden Richard Leonard, 83, of L & M Rd., passed Friday, January 23, 2015 at his residence.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 28th at 2:00pm at Freedom Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Freedom Baptist Church.

He was born on January 8, 1932 in Davidson County to Mac Golden Leonard and Jennie Shoaf Leonard. He was self-employed as a contractor in construction. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Ray Leonard and a grandchild, Christopher Todd Eggers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elizabeth C. Leonard; three sons, Ricky Eugene (Janice) Leonard of Welcome, Stephen Lee (Andrea) Leonard and Timothy Wayne (Tracy) Leonard both of Lexington; a daughter, Wanda K. Leonard Eggers of Lexington; a brother, Henry (Wilma) Leonard of Lexington; a sister, Hazel Waseksky; a sister-in-law, Nancy Leonard; six grandchildren, Phillip (Sherri) Eggers, Mark Eggers, Crystal Leonard Phillips, Brandon Leonard, Austin Leonard and Kelby Leonard; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Eggers, Maddie Eggers, Sam Phillips and Will Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends.
