Gregory Darnell Burns, Sr., 65, of Quail Rd., passed on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Files Chapel Baptist Church with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1:00pm – 7:00p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born November 14, 1950, to James Burns and Lucy Davis Burns in Lexington.He was a faithful member of Files Chapel Baptist Church and served on the usher board, Men's Choir, was a Sunday school teacher and past president of Men's Fellowship.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marty S. Burns.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wyatt Burns; two sons, Gregory (Maggies Hicks) Burns and Bryant Burns; a grandchild, Bryceai Burns; two brothers, Larry (Mary) Burns and James Sonny Burns; a sister, Frances Jean Burns and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
