Mrs. Hazel Ann Walters Clayborn peacefully transitioned into eternity on October 27, 2020 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center at the age of 77.She was born to the late Willie Lee and Flossie Y. Walters on March 22, 1943 in Ringgold, Virginia.

Hazel was reared in the local schools of Virginia. Being a woman of great wisdom, Hazel knew that her life wasn't complete, thus she accepted Christ at an early age and fellowshipped with Apostolic Faith Temple.Her hands would find work at Lorillard Tobacco Company as a Line Worker. She united in holy matrimony with Arthur Leon Clayborn on July 28, 1964 and to their beautiful union three precious children were born: Stephanie Walters, Edith Ann Clayborn and Tammy Clayborn.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie Lee and Flossie Walters; her beloved husband, Arthur Leon Clayborn; her son, Stephanie Walters; her five brothers: William Henry Walters, King Solomon Walters (Eugene), Lester Lewis Walters (Fannie), Sylvester Walters (Aquiclla), Willie Elroy Walters (Betty Jean) and her sister, Florine Walters Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted and loving daughters: Edith Ann Clayborn Cobbs and Tammy C. Foster; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who she loved dearly.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Apostolic Faith Temple, 124 Witcher Road, Ringgold, Virginia 24586 with family visitation at 12 noon prior to the service.Burial followed at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 364 Old Satterfield Road, Milton, North Carolina 27305.Public viewing was held 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
