Mrs. Helen Gooden Nichols, 87, of NC Hwy 8, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 1:00pm at Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 9:00am until Noon at Roberts Funeral Service.

On June 7, 1931, Helen was born in Davidson County to Jeff Gooden and Sadie Gooden. She retired from PPG Ind. and was a member of First Baptist Church, Village Dr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Lee Nichols; her daughter, India Nichols; a brother, Robert Lee Gooden and a sister, Annie G. McCoy.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ramona (Michael) Parrish; three sisters: Pauline G. Hargrave, Earnestine G. Brown and Inez G. Shaw; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Roger (Janie) Nichols and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
