Mr. Henry Owens Hammonds, 56, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, exchanged this earthly world of care for peace forevermore on Sunday, September 12, 2021. His life began on May 3, 1965 when he was born to the late Lacy Hammonds and Shirley Ann Hunt in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

Henry was educated in the local Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools. He was of the Christian faith and attended Victory Bible Baptist Church in Tobaccoville, North Carolina. During his life, his hands would find work with Hills BBQ.

Those who preceded him in death are his father, Lacy Hammonds; mother, Shirley Ann Hunt; his wife, Judy Hammonds; two brothers, Kenny R. Hammonds and Lacy R. Hammonds.

Although our beloved Henry will no longer be here on earth physically, his memory shall live on in the hearts of his son, Romi White; three granddaughters: Serayah Solei White, Zaida Ryann White, Tazannah Tammy White; three sisters: Gail Hammonds, Edna Hammonds, Anita Hammonds; two brothers, Bobby Hammonds and Corey Tillley; and a host of nieces, nephews, others family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem). Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, 5676 Old Walkertown Road, Walkertown, North Carolina. A public viewing will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
