As with life itself, one can only imagine the glory in such a blessing as brought forth by God.
On January 21, 1931, God chose Henry Prince Walls to walk among us and saw that he
would do so for over 91 years. Thank you, God, for allowing us to have one so strong, so filled
with unwavering humor and so incredibly proud to be a son, brother, husband, father and
loyal friend. The recipe God so carefully crafted for Henry was like no other. He loved
hard and unapologetically. He was a "straightshooter," called it how he saw it and never
wavered from the truth – not even for himself. Henry saw the world very clearly; he made
the best of the good with the bad, never made excuses and naturally accepted everyone as
they were. He was unique to say the least. In his final moments of transition, Henry
maintained his pride and held true to his role in this life as an honorable man who remained
fiercely protective of his family. His bold yet quiet personality, along with his quick wit, will forever warm our hearts and the hearts of those to come, for his story will always be told, ensuring his memory lives on eternally.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory his eight children: James L. Pickett, Tommy L. (Linda) Pickett, Samuel E. Pickett, Carolyn W. Scott, Cynthia J. Friday, Christina M. (Rev.Kelly) Brown, Henrietta T. Walls and Henry J. (Felecia) Walls; twelve grandchildren: Keesha (Duane), Kenjotta, Tavis (Christina),Tonika, Missy, Justin (Kiera),Steven, Taylor(John), Jerod (Samantha), Natalie, James (Karen) and Kedar; fourteen great-grandchildren: Kristopher, Keshaun, Charles, Rashawn, Denisha, Clara, Asa, Kamden, Khol, Scotte, Kenadi, Elliot, Malachi and Baby Boy Brown; four sisters: Alzina (Leonard) Irving, Christina Henton, Rutha (Willie) Mims, Ida Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
