Mr. Herbert Lee Hairston, 55, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 3:00pm at Hope Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will be Monday at 11:00a.m. at Lexington City Cemetery.

He was born March 12, 1962, to Avery Dennis and Erma Jean Bush Hairston. He worked at Daimler Trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Isaac Hairston and a sister, Alma Allison.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carla G. Hairston; children: Herbert Hairston, Jr., Ishmael Hairston, Doreena Harmon, Kawana Gaither and Oneka Hairston; seven grandchildren; four brothers: Wade Hairston, Avery Hairston, Rev. Samuel (Josephine) Hairston, James (DeWarren) Hairston: two sisters: Deborah Hairston and Charlene Hairston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
