With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Homero Pineda Delgado, who departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the age of 47.

Homero was born on May 7, 1979, in Huetamo, Michoacán, Mexico, to the late Bonifacio Pineda and Leonor Delgado. A faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salisbury, North Carolina, Homero lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was last employed with Danny's Backhoe and Loader, where he was known as a dedicated and dependable worker.

For 27 wonderful years, Homero shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Teresa Mercado. Together they built a beautiful family and created a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.

Homero found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing and never missed an opportunity to watch sports. Volleyball and soccer were among his favorite pastimes, and he was a devoted fan of Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas). Above all, Homero embraced every day with gratitude and enthusiasm, choosing to live life to its fullest while sharing his warmth, kindness, and generous spirit with everyone around him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved wife, Teresa Mercado; one son, Homer (Kaylan Covington) Pineda, Sr. of Rockwell, North Carolina; three daughters: Kaoly Pineda, Kayra Pineda, and Teresita Pineda, all of Salisbury, North Carolina; two cherished grandchildren, Homer Pineda, Jr. and Micah Pineda; two brothers, Manuel (Norbeta) Pineda of Marshville, North Carolina, and Miguel (Zonia) Pineda of Salisbury, North Carolina; two sisters, Maria Pineda and Nereyda Pineda, both of Salisbury, North Carolina; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the love he shared, the faith he lived, and the legacy of devotion to his family that he leaves behind. His smile, gentle spirit, and joyful outlook on life will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

Con profunda tristeza y con inmenso amor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Homero Pineda Delgado, quien partió de esta vida el domingo 19 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 47 años.

Homero nació el 7 de mayo de 1979 en Huetamo, Michoacán, México, hijo de los ya fallecidos Bonifacio Pineda y Leonor Delgado. Fue un fiel miembro de la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) en Salisbury, Carolina del Norte. Homero vivió una vida fundamentada en la fe, la familia y el trabajo honesto. Su último empleo fue con Danny's Backhoe and Loader, donde era reconocido por ser un trabajador dedicado, responsable y digno de confianza.

Durante 27 maravillosos años, Homero compartió un matrimonio lleno de amor con su amada esposa, Teresa Mercado. Juntos formaron una hermosa familia y construyeron un hogar lleno de amor, alegría y recuerdos inolvidables.

Homero encontraba felicidad en las cosas sencillas de la vida. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo pescando y nunca perdía la oportunidad de ver deportes. El voleibol y el fútbol se encontraban entre sus pasatiempos favoritos, y era un apasionado seguidor del Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Las Chivas). Deja para honrar y atesorar su memoria a su amada esposa, Teresa Mercado; su hijo, Homer (Kaylan Covington) Pineda, Sr., de Rockwell, Carolina del Norte; sus tres hijas, Kaoly Pineda, Kayra Pineda y Teresita Pineda, todas de Salisbury, Carolina del Norte; sus dos queridos nietos, Homer Pineda, Jr. y Micah Pineda; sus dos hermanos, Manuel (Norbeta) Pineda, de Marshville, Carolina del Norte, y Miguel (Zonia) Pineda, de Salisbury, Carolina del Norte; sus dos hermanas, María Pineda y Nereyda Pineda, ambas de Salisbury, Carolina del Norte; además de numerosos sobrinos, familiares y entrañables amigos que por siempre conservarán su recuerdo.

Aunque nuestros corazones están llenos de tristeza, encontramos consuelo en el amor que compartió, la fe con la que vivió y el legado de amor y dedicación hacia su familia que deja como herencia. The Rosary Service for Mr. Homero Pineda Delgado will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Salisbury, North Carolina at 1:00 PM. Burial immediately following at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
