Hope SoRelle Fortune, 38, of Blossom Circle, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church with visitation an hour before the service. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00-7:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born in Lexington, North Carolina on July 18, 1977, to Metha A. Fortune and Jesse L. Fortune. Hope was a 1995 graduate of Lexington Senior High School and a retiree from NewBridge Bank.Hope was the Associate Matron of Golden Link #543 and a lifelong member of Union Chapel AME Zion Church where she served on the Trustee Committee, Finance Committee, Steward Board, Lay Council and Usher Board. She also served as the Winston-Salem District Lay Council President.Hope was preceded in death by her father, Jesse L. Fortune.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Antonio Ty'Quan Henderson; her son's father, Terry Antonio Henderson; mother, Metha A. Fortune; two brothers: Stephone White of Greensboro, NC; Travis (Carol) Fortune of Lexington, NC; two sisters: Jessica Y. Fortune of Charlotte, NC, Carla D. Giles of Rockledge, FL; 13 aunts ; 2 uncles and a host of cousins, classmates (Class of '95 – YOU ROCK AND LOVE HARD!), other relatives, past co-workers, many beloved students and many church members from various denominations.
