Mr. Horace Davis graced this earth with his presence on February 6, 1952 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Dora Sykes and Mance Davis. Horace answered God's call on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Accordius Health in Lexington, North Carolina.

Horace retired from Lexington Homebrands after many years. Horace was a sharp dresser, had a green thumb, had a giving heart and was "A Funny Person!"

Horace loved the Lord and worshiped him at Files Chapel Baptist Church in Lexington, North Carolina.

Horace was preceded in death by his wife, Linda and sister, Alice Harper.

He will be missed everyday. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted daughters, Rena Davis of High Point, North Carolina and Carolyn Simmons of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his son, Horace Simmons of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Angela Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina; four sisters: Verline Hewlin, Dora Mae Davis, Dorothy Goodwin and Geneva Hawkins; two brothers, Albert Davis and Buster Davis, both of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Horace will not be mourned today, instead we celebrate him going to paradise.

Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with visitation at 1:30pm.
