Howard Leroy Smith, Sr., 65, formerly of Reedy Creek, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Meridian Center Nursing Home under Hospice Care.
He was born on November 10, 1954 in Lexington to Jessie Leroy Smith and Mattie Florence Mayes.He enjoyed truck driving for many years, owned his own flooring business, hotdog stand and ice cream truck.He enjoyed spending time with his 4 legged companions.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Franklin and Kenny Smith and his ex-wife, Judy Lemmings Smith.
Surviving are his four children: Howard L. (Chelsea) Smith, Crystal Carter, Mike (Rachel) Smith and Nathan (Kim) Smith; ten grandchildren: Madison, Hayden, Hailey, Kyden, Kameron, Annabella, Kylie, Kaimen, Ethan and Felicity; three brothers: Eugene (Debbie), Albert (Ellen) and Darryl (Andrea) Smith.
