Ida Marie Ijames Booe, 67 was born in Easley, South Carolina on November 30, 1956 to Dorothy Jordan Colson and the late William Ijames. On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 Ida Marie quietly left on her on her well-planned journey to her new home in glory, where she is already in fellowship with her family and friends who were awaiting her arrival. We thank God for her life and the blessings of the memories we will forever cherish.
She attended the public schools of Davie County, North Carolina. She was employed for 38 years with Autumn Care of Mocksville, North Carolina as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Missionary Department. Ida was recently elected to serve as President of the Davie County Missionary Union.
Ida was a friend to many and was known for sharing a smile and kind words. She always had a nurturing heart, especially with her grandchildren. Ida enjoyed writing her Pen pals, doing crossword puzzles, sending cards for all occasions, giving her last to those in need and talking on the telephone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loving on her children and as all grandmothers, spoiling her grandbabies. She kept a smile on faces and her laughter was contagious. Her earthly presence will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Colson, and two brothers: Donald Ray Colson ad Perry Clement.
