Ida Leona Craven Jowers, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:30 A.M. at New Smith Grove Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service.

Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born in Davidson County to Leon and Myrtle Craven on May 7, 1948.She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and worked at Atrium Windows and Doors.She was a member of New Smith Grove Baptist Church and served on the usher board.

Ida is survived by her two sons, Daniel "Rocky" Jowers and Cyrus "Rusty" Jowers; two grandchildren, Devin and Tevin Jowers; a brother, Thomas (Johnnie) Craven, Sr.; four sisters, Rose Fuller, Deborah C. (Ken) Romney, Paula Craven and Faye Colson; a special friend, Walter Graham; a devoted cousin and friend, Charlene Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
