Ida Coleman Rogers was born September 25, 1945 in Winston-Salem, NC to Bud and Dora Coleman. She transitioned September 15, 2020. She was a graduate of WSSU Teacher's College. She was further educated at North Carolina A&T State University where she was awarded a Master's in Education. She was an educator for the Yadkin County School System for 30 years.She was a member of First Waughtown Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Usher Board.
She is Survived by her sister, Linda Webb; three children: Steve Hentz, Malika Hentz and Makeba Jones; one son-in-law, Kelvin Jones; eight grandchildren: Makeba Hentz, Malika Hentz, Marion Hall, Raven Welch, Raymond Welch, Jr., Rayna Welch, Shamiya Hentz and Shamariya Hentz; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services celebrating her will be conducted privately on Saturday at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.Her mortal frame will be coached to Piedmont Memorial Gardens for earthly rest.A public viewing will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
