Isaac Edward Hairston, Jr. was born on January 25, 1978 to Isaac Edward Hairston, Sr. and Althea Carson Hairston. He departed this life on March 25, 2026.

Isaac attended Lexington City Schools and was a proud member of the Class of 1996. He was last employed with Paris Food.Isaac was a man whose heart lived in the kitchen. Cooking wasn’t just something he did — it was his passion, his gift and his way of showing love to others. He enjoyed doing research to educate himself and his family and was known for his ambition and curiosity.

Isaac Jr. will be tremendously missed — his smile, his jokes and his warm, caring nature touched everyone who knew him. As 2 Corinthians 5:8 reminds us, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

He is now reunited with his father, Isaac Hairston, Sr., who preceded him in death.

Isaac leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Althea (Frank Bush) Hairston; devoted sisters, Shameeka Carson and Shonda Hairston, with whom he shared a special and unbreakable bond; his uncles: Avery (Annette) Hairston, Samuel Hairston, James (Dee) Hairston, and Melvin Nesbitt; his aunts: Deborah Hairston, Charlene Hairston and Carla Hairston; his nephews: Raheim Mock, Izaiah Hairston (whom he helped raise), Jy’Tavion Gilmore and Chosen Ervin; his niece, A’Kierra Mock; three great-nieces; and a host of cousins and friends who will forever hold him dear.

Funeral Service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service, with family visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m.
