Isaac Mitchell, Jr., passed away on May 12, 2022 in Washington, DC. He was born August 28, 1943 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Isaac Mitchell and Cora Byrd Mitchell.
He was a graduate of Dunbar High School, class of 1963. He retired from Sheraton Hotel after 40 years. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Johnny Byrd and Robert Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dorothy N. Mitchell; three daughters: Cynthia (Donald) Marsh Simmons of Thomasville, Iristine (Willard) Patterson of Raleigh and Sandra (James) Marsh Moment of Kernersville; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carrie Jefferson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday at Craven-Powell Chapel of Roberts Funeral Service at 11:00am. Public viewing will be Friday from 1-6pm.
