Obituary

James William "Buddy" Walser, Jr. was born in Davidson County on December 22, 1949 to James W. Walser, Sr. and Estelle M. Walser. Buddy passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Magnolia Garden in Thomasville, North Carolina.

He served in the United States Army. He graduated from Lexington Senior High School and was inducted into the Lexington Senior High School Hall of Fame. James was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Chris Walser; a sister, Katherine Lacy and two brothers-in-law, Larry Lacy and Ike Lytle.

Buddy leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Bobbi (Albert) Armstrong; three grandchildren, Julian (Kelsey) Armstrong, Johnae (Joshua) Bennett and Treana (Crystal) Armstrong and four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Melvin (Doretha) Walser, Belvin (Marlene) Walser and Johnny (Audrey) Walser; a sister, Debbie Carol Lytle; his aunt, Deloris Peoples and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
