Mr. James Lee Chandler, 71, of 4th Street, Winston-Salem slipped away from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2021 while at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.He was born on October 20, 1949 to the late Lealand Chandler, Sr. and Ella Mae Long Chandler in Kingstree, South Carolina.

He received his formal education from the local schools.During his life he was employed with Winston Salem State University (WSSU) as a Custodian.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: four brothers: Ephraim Chandler, Lealand Chandler, Jr., Isaias Chandler, Jeremiah Chandler and four sisters: Sarah Chandler, Virginia Chandler, Rebecca Chandler Weeks, and Geneva Chandler.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be conducted privately Thursday, March 18, 2021 from the chapel of Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem with visitation from 1:00 P.M. -2:00 P.M.Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville, North Carolina.Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.In accordance with Covid-19 social distancing protocols, all guests are required to wear a face mask.
