IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Grubb
March 3, 1942 – July 6, 2022
On Wednesday evening, July 6, 2022 James Arlin Grubb quietly left on his well- planned journey to his new home in Glory. In sweet peace, he departed this life of 80 years at Lexington Health Care, Lexington, North Carolina.
James was born on March 3, 1942 in Davidson County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Willie James and Arline Black Grubb. His formal education was received in the public schools of Davidson County, North Carolina, graduating from Central Davidson High School, class of 1960. One of his favorite pastimes was working on cars, which led him to being a self-employed mechanic for over twenty-five years.
His church affiliation was with Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, Thomasville, North Carolina where he served faithfully until his health declined. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working on anything someone needed help on, spending time with his "furr" baby Tuscan and spoiling the second leading lady in his life, his granddaughter, Lily.
James was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Grubb.
A life well lived and loved will be remembered, revered and remain in the hearts of his wife, Carolyn Shuler Grubb of Lexington, North Carolina; two sons, Lindsay Grubb of Lexington, North Carolina and Brian (Stephanie) Grubb of Linwood, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Lily Grubb; a sister, June Grubb of Lexington, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church 222 Mt. Zion Church Rd Thomasville, NC 27360.
