Mr. James Berdell Smith, Jr., 60, of Hemstead St., died Friday October 22, 2021 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.

The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00am at Good Hope FBH Church.  Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.  Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00pm -5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

James was born in Davidson County to the late  James B. Smith, Sr. and Rosa Richards Smith on January 28, 1961.  He was a member of Good Hope FBH Church.  He worked at Roses Dept. Store.  He was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rosa R. Smith of Waterbury, Ct.; a brother, Kevin (Antoinette) Smith of Lewisville, TX; two sisters, Julia Kay Knowles of Albany, Ga and Krystal (Neville) Mapp  of Waterbury, Ct. and a host of other family and friends.
