Jane Elizabeth "Sis" Perkins Long was born in Roxboro, NC to Leroy Perkins and Alice Gertrude Riley Perkins on May 10, 1952.Sis peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A private funeral service will be Sunday at Salem Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.Public viewing will be Saturday at Roberts Funeral Service from 1:00pm-6:00pm.

Jane retired from Lexington Home Brands and was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Phillip Perkins and four sisters: Jean Hargrave, Garnetta "Polly" Jones, Inetta "Petey" Currie and Lena "Sally Gal" Mae Perkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Wendy Perkins Horton; a brother, Robert Perkins; two sisters, Melinda P. Terry and Barbara P. Shoaf and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
