It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Janet Frankie Jordan Cranford, who left us on August 30, 2024 at the age of 69. Janet was born on October 13, 1954 in Chatham County to the late Frank Jordan and Peggy Cloniger Jordan. She passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.


Janet was a dedicated employee of Leggett & Platt in High Point, where she worked tirelessly and formed lasting bonds with her colleagues. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her job were admired by all who knew her.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank and Peggy Jordan and her husband, Edmond B. Cranford, with whom she shared many cherished years.

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory: her son, Roland Hunter, Jr. and his wife, Natasha; her daughters: Catrina Lynn Moncus, Brandy Clark and her husband Pic, Peggy McLaurin and her husband Eddie and Samantha Carter and her husband David. Janet was also a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren. Her brother Johnny Jordan and her two sisters, Brenda Hofbauer and Ellen Mashburn, will forever remember her warmth and kindness. Janet also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
