IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet
Hogue
June 17, 1958 – November 14, 2024
Janet Louise Garner Hogue, age 66, died Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, North Carolina. Born June 17, 1958 in Iredell County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Garner and the late Frances Clorina Garner. Our beloved Janet's life has come to a close, but we are comforted in knowing that she enjoyed her life and now rests in the Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was educated in the Iredell County public schools and graduated from West Iredell High School, Statesville, North Carolina. Janet has worked over 30 years as a certified nursing assistant with Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (formerly Autumn Care) until her health began to decline.
Janet was a faithful member of Greater New Mt. Olive Church in Statesville, North Carolina. In her leisure, she loved to collect jewelry, enjoyed traveling the world, especially for family reunions, caring for people, but most of all, loving her grandchildren.
Her parents and her son, Jarvis T. Garner, preceded her in death.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, and as we say our good-byes to Janet, the love and memory will remain in the hearts of her husband of 40 years, Walter Charles Hogue of the home; two daughters: Adrian D. Hogue of Taylorsville, North Carolina and Ebony C. Hogue of Statesville, North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Latoya N. Abel of Salisbury, North Carolina; adopted daughter, Karess Arnold of Mocksville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren: Jarvis Jacobs, Zaiden Jacobs, Maddison Brooks, Tiana White, Khaleah Scott, Keiari Hogue, Justin Brown, Jr. and Alani Allen; a host of brothers and sisters-in law; a godson, Perman Brown; best friends: Marilyn Rice, Vashti Brown-McClelland and Rachel Parks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
