Mrs. Janet Catherine Perry, 86, of W. 4th Ave., passed on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:30 pm at New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing.

She was born on July 14, 1929, in Asheville, NC to Isiah Sheppard and Mary Bauknight Sheppard. She was a member of New Faith and retired from Life Center.She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James E, Haynes; a daughter, Catherine Haynes; a brother, Leroy Sheppard and two sisters, Barbara Ferrell and Ann Waters.

She is survived by her two sons, Clarence Haynes and Matthew Haynes; three daughters, Janice (Cecil) Johnson, Marilyn (Richard) Russell and Crystal Brooks; two brothers, Jimmy Sheppard and William Sheppard; 12 grandchildren, Donald Huling, Tracy Washington, Candida Haynes, Cecilia Haynes, Janet Johnson, Julie Russell, Richard Russell, II, Mary Brooks, Freda Brooks, Augustus Brooks, Laura Brooks and Sarah Brooks and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
