Janice Kaye Smith Peoples, 61, was born in Davidson County on November 27, 1955, to Alfred James Tuttle and Kay Smith Tuttle. On March 22, 2017, she went to be with the Lord.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00p.m. at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was a life-long member of Brooks Temple UMC, serving on the gospel choir and as children and youth usher board advisor and vice president. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Tuttle; a brother, Cecil Tuttle and a niece, Natasha Tuttle.

She is survived by two sons, Orlando Peoples and Fernando (TaRae) Peoples, Jr.; her mother, Kay Smith Tuttle; three brothers: Donald Smith, Nathan (Paula) Tuttle and Thomas Vincent (Monica) Tuttle; two sisters, Robin (Baxter) Lindsay and Gail Glenn; a sister-in-law, Tammy Tuttle; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
