Janie Lucille Swink Williams, 78, originally from Mocksville and was currently residing in Concord, North Carolina, passed on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her residence in Concord. Born in Rowan County, North Carolina on December 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John Swink and Lila Hutchinson Swink.


Janie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Mocksville, North Carolina. Her formal education was in the public schools of Rowan County, North Carolina. Janie had a passion for caring for others in a special way. You could always find her sitting with someone, assuring they felt someone cared for them. Family was near and dear to her heart. Outside of spending time with her family, Janie enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Along with her parents, Janie was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, James Franklin (Doc) Williams, Sr.; her sons, Baby James Franklin Williams, Jr., and Baby Danny Ray Williams; three brothers: Raymond Swink, Daniel Swink and Bristal Swink.

Janie's life will forever be cherished and remembered by her sisters, Mary Joan Menius of Concord, North Carolina and Ruby Williford of Spencer, North Carolina; a favorite niece who was like a daughter, Joyce (Roger) Honeycutt of Concord, North Carolina; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Celebration of Life for Ms. Janie Williams will be on Thursday, November 20, 2025 12:00 PM, at Salem United Methodist Church with a visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
