Jarbar ("Boogie") Garcia II was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC. He was the youngest child of Jarbar I and T. Izzard and step-son to Amirah Abdullah. Boogie grew up with his three older siblings: Aishellyn, Aisha and Jishaiya. He was "Rich Uncle Bar" to Ailani, Royál and Blaze; Grandson to Deborah and Jeffrey Berry and Patricia Garcia; Great-grandson to the late Leander Izzard and living Lucy Izzard; and cousin and nephew to many.

Boogie obtained his GED and welding certificate, which allowed him to become an influential team member and anticipated shift lead at Matcor Metal Fabrication. Once Jarbar realized life was bigger than the streets, he always focused on the bigger picture. He strived for his family to become the best versions of themselves and demolish negative habits and practices that were passed down through the generations by creating generational wealth, blessings and healthy traditions. What a social butterfly he was. Boogie was loved in life by so many and we will continue to love him after.
